Arrest made in case of murdered Kokomo caregiver

KOKOMO, Ind. (Oct. 28, 2014)– An arrest has been made in the case of a murdered caregiver in Kokomo.

Tuesday night, police arrested Cynthia Coates, 54, Kokomo, for the murder of Corey Story.

Story, 45, died from multiple gunshot wounds inside the home where he was a caregiver.

Kokomo police said the elderly man he worked for, who was not home at the time, called 911 after finding Story dead.

“(He was) just a funny guy, always trying to make you laugh. (He) always wanted to lend a helping hand,” Story’s cousin Andre Gillard told FOX59 Monday.
