Winter-like temperatures, snow flurries possible for Halloween
Skies are clearing from northwest to southeast so look for much improved weather for the evening commute. Temperatures are taking quite a hit – down as much as 22° from same time Monday.
COLDER AIR RETURNS
A colder night is coming, so long to the near record warmth with low temps reaching the upper 30s in the outlying areas. Mostly clear skies overnight will lead to a nice Wednesday with sunshine and cool temperatures.
HALLOWEEN 2014: CHILLS AND FRIGHTENING FLAKES
EERIE: Overnight computer runs are now nearly exactly the same forecast for Halloween with very chilly air and the possibility of some frightening flakes. (Below a side by side comparison of the US GFS model and its counterpart the European) Stay tuned. Only 7 Halloweens on record have ever produced a trace or more of snow. The only Halloween with measurable snow (.1″) came in 1890.
