BOONE COUNTY (Nov. 7, 2014) – Two trucks collided on I-65 near the Boone/Clinton county line Friday morning.

The crash happened at mile marker 150 near Thorntown. A southbound lane was closed while crews worked to clean up.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said a milk tanker and another semi crashed at a rest area. Multiple law enforcement agencies were working the scene, and emergency cleanup was expected to last at least two hours.

Investigators said the driver of one truck dropped his cell phone and bent down to get it. He hit the back of the other semi, which was slowing down in order to exit at the rest stop. One truck was carrying regular milk and the other almond milk.

One person suffered slight injuries, police told FOX59.
