Fishers shooting victim’s son thanks community for support

FISHERS, Ind. (November 8, 2014) — Steve Kim, the son of the man who shot and killed last weekend made a statement on Facebook, thanking everyone for the support his family has gotten.

The victim, Henry Kim, 73, was found shot three times and his throat cut in a Fishers neighborhood. Steve Kim wrote this statement on Friday:

“I wish to thank all of you for your kindness. I am humbled by all the love and support during this difficult time. Thank you to all that personally reached out and was there for me. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

Even though I am saddened by recent events. I hold no malice or vengeance in my heart. Only love and forgiveness to all that have hurt me.

We are all people and deserve to be treated as such. Thank you.”

On Tuesday, 17-year-old Maxwell Winkler was arrested and charged with Kim’s murder.
