Three suspects arrested in connection with two Steak ‘n Shake robberies

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 11, 2014)– Three people have been arrested in connection with two separate robberies.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched to the Steak ‘n Shake in the 7200 block of Woodland Drive on a report of a robbery on Nov. 5.

Officers arrived and found that the business had been robbed by two men.  The suspects fled the area with an undetermined amount of money.  No injuries were reported.

IMPD robbery detectives identified Shaun Davis Jr., 22, as a suspect.  Police obtained a search warrant and arrested him.

Davis had previously been a manager of the Steak ‘n Shake in the 5800 block of East 71st Street.  This location also had an attempted robbery on Nov. 4.

Officers also arrested Tiffany Thomas, 19, who is the girlfriend of Davis and the assistant manager of the Steak ‘n Shake on Woodland Drive.

Suspect Rodric Sims, 24, was arrested for his alleged role as assisting in the attempted robbery of the Steak n Shake on East 71st Street and his suspected involvement in the robbery on Woodland Drive.

All three suspects were arrested on preliminary charges of robbery and attempted robbery. Davis was additionally charged for a felony-level handgun charge.  All three suspects are being held at the Marion County jail.
