Indianapolis, IND. (November 15, 2014) — Local firefighters and police officers battled it out for charity on Saturday evening.

The 911 Slugfest, a boxing match that pits police officers against firefighters, was held at the Tyndall Armory in downtown.

The event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation and is the first time it has been held in Indianapolis since 2003.

In recent years, a second slugfest was added in Hammond and has taken place in April.

To date, the Slugfests have helped to raise more than $100,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
