Family home damaged by fire

Indianapolis, IND. (November 15, 2014) — A family was able to get out of their home safely before their home was damaged by a fire on Saturday evening.

Two adults and three children were in the house at the time of the fire, the owner was not home.

The owner’s husband said just before 6 p.m. he smelled and saw smoke coming from the attached three car garage.

He yelled for everyone to evacuate and then tried to put the fire out with a garden hose.

At this point the cause of the fire is unknown.

Fire officials say the family cat is still missing.
