Boone Co. police chase ends in multi-vehicle crash in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 15, 2014) — A police chase that began in Boone County ended in a multiple-vehicle crash on Indianapolis’ west side early Saturday morning.

Police say Whitestown Police tried to issue a traffic stop on I-65 in Boone Co. shortly before 3:30 a.m. But the suspect, driving a Chevy Tahoe took off. Two Whitestown cruisers chased the suspect and IMPD joined in as the pursuit crossed the Marion County line.

The chase ended in a 3-car crash at 34th Street and Georgetown Road just before 4 a.m.  The suspect vehicle crashed into a Lincoln and a Chevy pickup truck. The driver and passenger of the Lincoln and the driver of the truck were not hurt.  Police say the suspect was taken to Eskenazi.
