Female victim exchanges fire with suspect in east side attempted robbery

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 20, 2014)-- A person was shot on the city's east side Thursday.

Officers responded to an attempted robbery in the 3800 block of East. Michigan Street near North Sherman Drive just after 3 p.m.

Police say two men came into the tire and wheel shop asking for money and then held up the business. A woman inside the business was shot in the neck. She returned fire, hitting one of the suspects in the neck area.

The suspect who was shot was found in the 2500 block of North Parker Avenue.
