INDIANAPOLIS, In (November 22, 2014) — The public was invited to tour their neighborhood fire houses around Indianapolis this weekend.

Seven Indianapolis Fire Department stations held open houses on Saturday.

Chief Ernest Malone says this is a great opportunity for residents to meet the firefighters and other personnel who service their neighborhoods.

Along with tours, people were able to see CPR demonstrations along with free health screenings.

Firefighting tools and equipment were also on display and families had the chance to practice their fire escape plans.
