Two hurt when suspected drunk driver smashes into light pole

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 23, 2014) — Two people were hurt early Sunday morning, when police say the car went airborne, and smashed into a power pole on the south side.

The driver is suspected of being drunk.

It happened just after midnight in the 2200 block of W. Raymond Street.

The car landed on its side, trapping the driver inside. Both the driver and the passenger were alert when emergency crews arrived. They were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
