Autumn storm delivers strong winds and more cold air
POWERFUL AUTUMN STORM
Peak wind gusts near 50 MPH this afternoon as powerful storm centered now well north of Lake Huron with central pressure of 974 MB (28.77″).
Earlier in the day, a fast line of t-storms brought some wind damage and gusts reported to 69 mph in Columbus. Non-thunderstorm gusts reached nearly 50 mph in some locations.
A wind advisory is in effect through 7 PM.
Wind will back down quickly after 8 PM and become much lighter after 12 AM.
Brace for more cold! Temps have fallen quickly and combined with strong winds, the winds chill at 4 PM makes it feel like it is over 30 degrees colder than it was at 7 AM. We were at 55 early this morning. The wind chill will drop all night long well into the teens.
