WEB EXTRA: Health inspector gives tips on safe preparation this Thanksgiving

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 21, 2014) -- A Marion County health inspector demonstrated good tips this Thanksgiving to keep you and your family from getting sick.

After going into home kitchens, including reporter Jill Glavan's place, inspector Tori Thorn turned to tips for the holidays.

She said thawing, cooking to the right temperature and treating leftovers correctly are the most common mistakes that could lead to a foodborne illness. Watch the video above to see all of Thorn's helpful tips.
