INDIANAPOLIS, IN (December 1, 2014) - The Amazon fulfillment center in Whitestown is expected to ship out a record number of orders on Cyber Monday.

Last year on Cyber Monday, customers ordered more than 36.8 million items worldwide, which is a record-breaking 426 items ordered per second. This year is expected to top that. In fact, the company predicts this will be the best online shopping season in history.

Amazon will be releasing new deals every ten minutes. Special deals will run throughout the entire week.

The Whitestown fulfillment center opened in 2008. It's the size of 28 football fields and seven miles of conveyor belts snake through the building. That's enough to stretch from Whitestown to Lebanon.

Orders are picked, packed and shipped from the fulfillment center to doorsteps around the world.

Nearly two million feet of ribbon will be used to put bows on holiday gifts at the fulfillment center. That's almost enough ribbon to stretch from Lucas Oil Stadium to Lambeau Field.
