GREENE COUNTY (Dec. 2, 2014) – Authorities in Greene County identified a man found dead in a creek over the weekend.

The man has been identified as Jorrell Houldson, 22, Linton. Police said he was a suspect in the Oct. 1 killing of his mother, Ruby Moon Houldson. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

An autopsy on Monday showed Houldson died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Investigators said his death appeared to be a suicide and were still awaiting toxicology results.
