Man wanted for attempted robbery on north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 2, 2014)– Police are asking for help in identifying an attempted robbery suspect.

On Monday at approximately 2:45 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were dispatched to the Chase bank located at 215 East 38th Street on a report of an attempted robbery.

The victim told police that the suspect, a black male in his mid-20’s, approached the teller and handed over a note stating he was armed and demanded money. After asking for the suspect’s identification, he exited the business. Nothing was taken during this robbery attempt.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with a black t-shirt over it with a picture of 4 different colored drinks. The suspect also had on white gloves and a black Nike winter hat.
