Two women arrested after severe beating of 73-year-old Frankfort taxi driver

FRANKFORT (Dec. 2, 2014) – Police in Frankfort arrested two women in connection with the severe beating of a 73-year-old taxi driver.

According to Police Chief Troy Bacon, Brenda M. Garcia, 22, and Nellie M. King, 19, were taken into custody for the Nov. 23 attack on Franklin D. Hornsby.

Charges against Garcia included attempted robbery, aggravated battery, battery with a deadly weapon and strangulation. Charges against King included attempted robbery, aggravated battery and battery with a deadly weapon.

Bacon said no additional information would be released because the investigation remains active.

Garcia and King were taken to the Clinton County Jail as they await preliminary charges.
