Indiana State Police help children fulfill their Christmas wishes
CAMBY, In. (December 6, 2014) –Indiana State Police Troopers, Capitol Police Officer and officers from other agencies and several volunteers participated in “Christmas for Kids” at the Walmart in Camby on Saturday.
The Trooper Bartram Memorial Fund and Helping Hands for Freedom partnered to help more than 100 children have a brighter holiday.
Troopers and other first responders treated families in need to a holiday shopping trip they will not soon forget.
Children were able to get new necessities like socks, underwear shoes and coats and then to the toy department to pick out toys from their wish list.
The Trooper Bartram Memorial Foundation was able to raise $5,000 over the summer when it hosted the annual Trooper Bartram Memorial Motorcycle Ride.
The program is held in honor of Trooper James Bartram, who was killed in the line of duty in March 1998.
