Woman shot on city’s southwest side, fourth shooting in one day

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 8, 2014) – A woman was shot on the city’s southwest side Sunday night, making it the fourth Circle City shooting in one day.

The shooting occurred around 11:45 p.m. in the 3100 block of Kentucky Ave.

The woman was shot in the chest at the Food Corner Pantry, and she was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.

This marks the fourth shooting on Sunday.

The first shooting occurred at a near northeast side liquor store.

The second shooting was near Club Syllowett on East 38th Street. Two people were shot and one person was killed.

And the third shooting happened near 39th Street and Tacoma Avenue around 9 p.m.
