INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 18, 2014) – IU Police in Indianapolis are investigating a rape after a student reported being drugged by an e-cigarette.

According to police, the incident happened during the last week of November. The student met someone online and invited that person to the student’s apartment in the 300 block of Porto Alegre for Thanksgiving holiday break.

It was during that encounter that the student was drugged with an e-cigarette and then raped, police said.

Investigators said they didn’t have any information about the acquaintance. The case is being investigated as a sexual assault.
