Residential robbery leads to shooting on city’s east side

(December 23, 2014) – A home robbery led to a shooting on the city’s east side Tuesday morning.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police dispatchers, two men entered a home around 4:30 a.m. in the 3100 block of Forest Manor Avenue.

The men got into a confrontation with the homeowner, and the homeowner fired shots at them.

The suspects left the scene in a white Impala.

One of the suspects showed up at Community East Hospital with a gunshot wound to the back. He was transported to IU Health Methodist Hospital in good condition.

Police do not believe this was a random incident.

This was the fourth shooting in Indianapolis in the past 12 hours.
