MARION, In,  (December 27th, 2014) — A house fire that killed two people in Marion is under investigation.  The blaze was reported Saturday morning in the 1800 block of West 9th Street.

Firefighters were called to the house around 9 a.m. after someone saw smoke coming from the home.

The Grant County coroner and State Fire Marshall were on the scene.

Robin Lyons, 61 and  Melody Teegarden, 55, both died in the fire.  Five dogs also were killed.

Fire officials say entry in to the home was more difficult because of furniture in front of the door.
