Authorities searching for bank robber

INDIANAPOLIS, In, (December 27th, 2014) — Authorities need help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.   At approximately 10:30 a.m., Saturday,  officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to the Fifth Third Bank located at the 5000 block of West Washington Street on a report of a robbery.

A white male, described to be in his late 40’s to early 50’s entered the bank, handed a note to the bank teller stating he had a firearm and demanded money. He then fled the scene in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as  approximately 5’6 – 5’8, 40-50 years of age, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a blue and white flannel shirt over the hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black work boots.
