Trash, recycling services suspended again Friday due to freezing temperatures

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (UPDATED Jan. 8, 2015)– The Department of Public Works (DPW) will suspend residential trash, heavy trash and curbside recycling Friday, Jan. 9 due to very low temperatures will make it unsafe for crews and DPW equipment.

The dangerous temperatures prompted DPW to cancel trash pick-up on Wednesday and Thursday as well.

Residents affected by the cancellations will have double collection next week.

Curbside recycling customers will have a double collection on their next scheduled recycling collection day.

Residents who have trash collection on Monday or Tuesday will not be affected by the double collection.
