MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Jan. 8, 2015)— A gun range in Alabama is under fire after posting a Facebook photo, showing a baby surrounded by rifles and holding a handgun.

Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex owners said they posted the picture to stimulate conversation.

“Primarily here at Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex, we promote firearm safety, so in order to stimulate a little dialogue, we put a controversial picture in effort to get people’s feedback and get some awareness about that topic,” said Lilly Ann Gibbs, Montgomery Indoor Shooting Complex.

The photo generated heavy criticism and was removed from the gun rage’s Facebook page. The company replaced the photo with a Project Child Safe link and a video link.
