Police seek man in connection with rape case; sketch released

INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 8, 2015) – Indianapolis Metropolitan police need help finding a man suspected in a rape case.

On June 28, 2014, a woman was sitting on her back porch at a home in the 1500 block of Renton Street at Stone Key Apartments. The man walked by and chatted up the woman.

After the conversation, the woman went into her kitchen. She said the man followed her inside without her consent, closed the door and locked it. He then tried to rape her.

Police have released a sketch of the man.
