GREENFIELD —A  former Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy will serve probation in Hamilton County and will have to continue to take anger management classes as part of a plea deal from a misdemeanor charge that he threatened a woman he had been dating.

Scott Roeger was also charged in misusing a police database.

His felony charge of official misconduct related to the same case was dismissed.

Roeger, who resigned from the sheriff’s department in January 2014, had faced four criminal cases during the last two years, all relating to a 2013 arrest in McCordsville following a domestic dispute.

This week’s sentencing is the final one. He had already been sentenced to probation and anger management classes in Hancock County.
