WASHINGTON D.C. (Jan. 19, 2015) - Two Hoosiers will be in attendance for tomorrow’s State of the Union address in Washington, including IMPD Chief Rick Hite.

Hite was invited by Congresswoman Susan Brooks to recognize the department’s hard work. FOX59 spoke with Hite last week about the opportunity to go to the nation’s capitol.

“I’m honored,” said Hite. “I think representing the department and the city is special and I’m looking forward to the opportunity.”

A woman from Connersville will also get to hear the speech.

Sharon Cranfill is headed to Washington as a guest of Sen. Joe Donnelly.

Cranfill runs the "House of Ruth" in Connersville- an organization that helps people recover from drug addictions.
