Road conditions becoming hazardous in Central Indiana

CENTRAL INDIANA (January 25, 2015) — Sheriff’s offices from all over Central Indiana are warning drivers to use extra caution while traveling Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Madison County Emergency Management Agency warns of numerous slide-offs and accidents along Interstate 69.

The Grant County EMA warned of hazardous weather and said that roads would be slick and hazardous due to periods of snow and rain.

The National Weather Service for Northern Indiana issued a winter weather advisory early Sunday afternoon, advising of blowing and drifting snow.

The Department of Public Works for Indianapolis plans to have a shift of 40 snow plow drivers on rotating shifts to help clear away snow for Monday morning’s commute.
