Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday night through Monday morning

(Jan. 30, 2015) – A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday night through Monday morning for much of central Indiana.

The National Weather Service is projecting accumulations of 6 to 9 inches in some areas. Drivers are expected to encounter snow-covered roads and hazardous driving conditions. The bulk of the snowfall is projected between late Saturday night and early Sunday evening.

The watch includes the following counties:

  • Henry
  • Howard
  • Johnson
  • Madison
  • Marion
  • Montgomery
  • Morgan

  • Putnam
  • Randolph
  • Rush
  • Shelby
  • Tippecanoe
  • Tipton
  • Vermillion
  • Vigo
  • Warren
