Man taken to hospital after being struck by snow plow

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 5, 2015) – A man was struck by a snow plow early Thursday morning on the northwest side.

It happened in the 8000 block of West 56th Street, according to Indianapolis Metropolitan police. That’s near Eagle Creek Golf Club.

He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital and is expected to be fine. Police said he suffered some “broken extremities” and was in fair condition. Investigators said he admitted to taking illegal narcotics before the incident.

The scene was clear by about 6:45 a.m.
