Kids get to run football drills with NFL hopefuls
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 14, 2015) — Some children dream of becoming pro-athletes and on Saturday, a group of cancer patients at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital were able to live out that dream, thanks to 14 NFL hopefuls.
The group of the nation’s premiere collegiate athletes are in town this weekend to showcase their skills to the National Football League’s teams and scouts.
While here, the athletes held a meet and greet with kids who are battling cancer.
The NFL hopefuls are training for the draft this weekend at St. Vincent Sports Performance Center and decided to give the patients an exclusive look at their skills and ran mock drills.
Some of the kids were able to take part in the drills as well.
