Local church focuses on human trafficking issue

GREENWOOD, Ind. (February 8, 2015) — Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood invited the public to join its first International Day of prayer and awareness against human trafficking.

The parish focused on local and global concerns tied to trafficking on Sunday.

The event featured The Center for Global Impact, a local non-profit organization that trains at-risk Cambodian women to sew and cook.

Founders of the local human trafficking awareness organization Jessica Thorne gave a presentation on the impacts.
