BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (February 10, 2015) – Thieves broke into a Colts employee’s home last week and stole his puppy.  Troy Glendenning is the Facilities Manager for the team and this isn’t the first time he’s had to deal with break-ins.

Back in May of 2013, thieves got into Gledenning’s home twice and stole a bunch of his Colts memorabilia.  The valuables meant a lot to him but getting his 9-month-old boxer, Vegas, back home meant more.

“I would drive by my house late at night just thinking and hoping just dump him off.  Just bring the dog back,” explains Troy Glendenning, who had his stolen.

After a week of missing Vegas, the power of social media took over.  The Colts organization offered a big reward and players like, Pat McAfee tweeted to help spread the word.  The FOX 59 Facebook page posted a picture of Vegas as well.  Detectives told us social media helped to bring in tips and bring them to Vegas.

Detectives ended up finding Vegas in Columbus.

“(They were) very good people down there and felt really bad.  They did not know the situation with the dog and every happy to return the dog to its owner,” explains Detective Albert Hendrix, with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives are still wrapping up some investigative work but feel confident they will arrest the suspects.

Glendenning isn’t focused on the suspects right now, he’s just relieved his dog is finally where he belongs.  Home.  “There’s good people out there. Never give up.  It’s amazing. I’m telling you, it’s amazing,” explains Glendenning.

Detectives are looking into the possibility that all three of the break-ins at Glendenning’s home could be related.
