INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 16, 2015) – A vigil was held Monday morning at 3 a.m. to honor two Indianapolis Emergency Medical Service workers who lost their lives in a tragic accident on February 16, 2013.

Specialist Cody Medley, 22, and Private Tim McCormick, 24, died from injuries sustained in a car crash while they were on duty.

A group of people, including fellow EMS workers, gathered at the scene of the accident downtown near the memorial sign that reads “McCormick and Medley EMS Memorial Way.”

The mourners also placed a wreath below the memorial sign.

A scholarship was set up last year in their honor. You can find more information about it here.
