Ambulance rollover crash sends three to hospital in Putnam County

PUTNAM COUNTY – (Feb. 18, 2015) – Wednesday morning around 8:30 am, Indiana State Trooper Michael Wood was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on eastbound I-70 just west of Cloverdale involving a CARE Ambulance.

The early  investigation revealed the ambulance was traveling eastbound when it lost control on the icy interstate and went into the median striking an earth embankment. It then rolled over multiple times.

The driver and other medic were transported to Putnam County Hospital with minor injuries while the patient was transported to Union Hospital in Terre Haute for minor injuries.
