MEDORA, Ind. (February 21, 2015) — The Department of Natural Resources and Indiana State Police confirmed that they have found the body of Cole Cummins in Black Swan Lake in Medora.

The victim was found with a remote operated vehicle.

DNR reports the 39-year-old man fell through the ice while fishing with his friend.

His friend fell in as well but was able to get out and drive to Cummins’ girlfriend’s house to call for help.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and attempted to rescue Cummins with a throw bag.

Cummins’ fishing partner was airlifted to Methodist.

State Police say he is expected to make a full recovery.
