One person dead after Police action shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (February 21, 2015)—   Police confirm one person has died after an officer-involved shooting Saturday afternoon.

Indianapolis Metro Police say around 4 p.m., dispatch received a call from the 1800 block of Heather Circle, where they heard threats being made toward a person.

Two officers arrived at the home and found a person wielding some sort of weapon.

Officers felt they and two other people in the home were in danger and asked the man to drop the weapon.

When the man refused, they were forced to use their weapons.

When emergency crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead.

Police say it is unclear at this time if the suspect was a resident of the home or what his relationship was to the other people in the home.
