INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 23, 2015) – One lucky Hoosier claimed nearly $400,000 in winnings from the Hoosier Lottery on Friday.

Jane Tomson of Fort Wayne won $392,410 when her Cash 5 ticket hit it big in the drawing on January 31. She purchased the quick pick ticket at Speedway at 6033 W. Jefferson Blvd. in Fort Wayne.

Tomson characterized winning as “surreal” and said it took a while to sink in. She is of retirement age, but she isn’t going to walk away from the business she owns with her husband. She plans to put her winnings in the bank.

Another Northern Indiana woman, Brandi Nunemaker, claimed a $75,000 top prize prize on the Jewel Jackpot Scratch-off.

The Plymouth woman and mother-of-two plans to use her winnings to fix up her Jeep and splurge on a night on the town in Indianapolis with her fiance.

Nunemaker purchased her winning ticket at Casey’s General Store at 885 E. Jefferson St. in Plymouth.
