VIDEO | Car crashes into snow bank, launches into lower deck of interstate

BOSTON, Mass. (Feb. 24, 2015) – A man survived after his pickup truck hit a snow bank on the upper deck of an interstate and then landed on the deck below.

Cameras from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation captured the crash from multiple angles on I-93. According to WFXT/FOX25, the 2006 Toyota Tacoma crashed through a light pole, an exit sign and chain link fence before falling to the ground.

The driver, Vannak Sao, 33, Boston, was not seriously injured although fire crews had to extricate him from the truck. Sao said he remembered falling asleep and hitting the snow bank. He woke up surrounded by emergency responders.

Sao was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
