Firefighters respond to house fire on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 25, 2015)– Firefighters responded to a house fire Wednesday evening on the northwest side of Indianapolis. The fire occurred in the 4200 block of Roland Road, near West Kessler Boulevard and West 42nd Street.

Neighbors tell FOX59 that the homeowners were not home at the time. A relative was watching the home, and observed smoke coming from an outlet. The relative reportedly waited 30 minutes before calling 911.

One firefighter suffered a slight injury and was taken to Eskenazi Health.
