INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 25, 2015)– A man in jail on murder charges now faces several more charges in an unrelated shooting investigation. Devin Gilbert, 23, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of robbery resulting in serious bodily injury and carrying a handgun without a license for his alleged involvement in a December 2, 2014 shooting that injured two people.

On December 2, around 9:45 p.m., officers received a call of shots fired in the 2900 block of East Michigan Street. Two victims were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Omar Davis, 22, was taken into custody and arrested in connection to the shooting that night.

New information from investigators prompted the Marion County Prosecutor’s office to file the charges against Gilbert Wednesday.

Gilbert is currently being held at the Marion County jail on murder charges in a separate homicide investigation that occurred on January 8, 2015 in the 3200 block of Guilford Avenue.
