Walmart looks to hire 300 for new Greenwood store

GREENWOOD, Ind. (March 3, 2015)– Walmart says it will hire approximately 300 associates to work at the new store set to open this spring in Greenwood. A temporary hiring center has opened at 3013 Meridian Meadows Road. Applications will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Through Walmart’s Veterans Welcome Home Commitment, any qualified veteran who has been honorably discharged within the past 12 months will be offered a job. Veterans must be within 12 months of active duty and meet Walmart’s standard hiring criteria.

Walmart says the store will be hiring both full and part-time associates.

“We are excited to bring this Walmart to Greenwood and are looking to build a strong team of associates,” said store manager J.R. Johnson.

The majority of new associates will begin work this spring to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
