INDIANAPOLIS – Contractors plan to repair pavement this weekend on the south side of Interstate 465 between State Road 67/Kentucky Avenue (Exit 8) and US 31/East Street (Exit 2).

Crews will restrict the right and center lanes of eastbound and westbound I-465 beginning Friday at 9 p.m. I-465 may remain restricted to a single lane until Monday at 6 a.m., but crews will remove restrictions as soon as pavement patching is complete.

Delays on eastbound and westbound I-465 are expected and drivers should consider alternative routes like surface streets until the work is done.

Restrictions this weekend will be a prelude to what will happen this Spring in this area as crews will repair or replace aged pavement damaged by winter and traffic. Motorists can learn about highway work zones and other traffic alerts at, 1-800-261-ROAD (7623) or 511 from a mobile phone.
