INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 23, 2015)– An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officer rescued a cat along I-465 Friday morning. FACE Low-Cost, Spay/Neuter Clinic posted the story on their Facebook page Monday.

FACE says officer Dodd slowed traffic on I-465 to save the cat, who has been named ‘Plinko.’

The clinic says that Plinko had some lacerations and was dehydrated, but did not suffer any major injuries.

“She’s getting fluids and lots of food, and while she is still very scared, she’s gentle and loves to be pet. There are so many heroes among us. Thank you Officer!” FACE posted on their Facebook page.
