Fourteen people injured in IndyGo bus accident downtown

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 24, 2015) – An IndyGo bus accident in downtown Indianapolis left over a dozen people injured Tuesday just after 1 p.m.

The bus was driving on Route 10 and it was going through the intersection at 10th Street and College Avenue when a driver in a van going southbound on College Avenue ran a red light and hit the bus. The bus then ran into a pole.

According to IFD, there were 20 people on the bus. Fourteen people were transported: eight people were taken to IU Methodist, three people were taken to Community East, and three people were taken to Eskenazi.

IMPD is investigating the crash.
