INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The witches are real and so is the drama in WGN America's hit show Salem. The period drama is a take on the Salem Witchcraft Trials set in Salem, Mass. in the 17th Century. The show's back for a much-acclaimed second season, kicking off on Sunday, April 5 at 10  p.m.

A plague and witch war have gripped the town. Survival for every character isn't guaranteed.

FOX59's Kendall Downing traveled to Shreveport, Louisiana,  where the show's filmed, to sit down with the actors and creators ahead of season two's premiere.
