BOSTON, Mass. (April 21, 2015) – A man with muscular dystrophy, a disease that makes moving around difficult, finished the Boston Marathon early this morning.

Maickel Melamed, a 39-year-old from Venezula, finished 20 hours after he started. He was surrounded by volunteers holding umbrellas and a crowd still cheering him on, according to ESPN.

Melamed has completed marathons in New York, Chicago, Tokyo and Berlin. But according to ESPN the marathons have taken a toll on him physically and this was his last marathon ever.

Watch for yourself as Melamed is cheered on by the crowd.
