INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 2, 2015) -- About 40,000 participants packed downtown Indianapolis for the 39th running for the "OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon," the largest half marathon in the country. This year, Indy Cars led each wave of runners -- some who run for fun, and others who run for a cause.

"We ran today for my friend, Shannon O’malia Hall, she was shot and killed by her ex-husband last summer and we are running for her boys to raise awareness and to raise some funds for them to go to college someday, " said Amanda Hoying.
