BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (May 8, 2015)– The family of slain Indiana University student Hannah Wilson was presented with her diploma Friday during a private ceremony.

Wilson, who graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2011, was a former competitive and high school cheerleader who was majoring in psychology at IU. She was set to graduate on Saturday.

IU spokesman Mark Land said there will be a moment of silence to remember Wilson during the commencement ceremony.

Daniel Messel, 49, was charged with murder in Hannah’s death after her body was discovered in a vacant lot in Brown County on April 24.
